Workshop for the industry academia collaboration in the Davao City, Philippines

Following the result of the first “Taiwan-Davao City Connectivity Forum” held on August 2018, the potential for cooperation between Taiwan and the Philippines could be put into a practical framework and start from issues related to education and training. The Resource Center for Economics, Industry and Academy Cooperation Philippines (RCEIAC), which is supported by Ministry of Education and is jointly run by the National Sun Yat-sen University (NSYSU), National Chi-Nan University(NCNU) and Cheng Shiu University(CSU), has organized this workshop.  The RCEIAC will work with the Ateneo de Davao University, which is the highest-ranked university in Davao city, to further improve industry-academia collaboration, and will explore programs such as internships and technology exchanges.

In order to attract more attention from the young generations from Taiwan and Davao, there are four main themes to be discussed:

1. The industrial environment in the Davao City, Philippines

2. Brief review of 2020 E-Commerce Roadmap in the Philippines

3. Potential industry-academia collaboration topics between Taiwan and Davao City

4. Building up the system for planning, execution and evaluation for a student internship program
